Pancakes, anyone!?

Me & my friends were at the Bonifacio High Street that evening for some errands. My friend wanted to eat pancakes for dinner. He suggested Pancake House but I told him iHop could be a great spot for breakfast food, since he haven’t tried this yet.

We all ordered for pancake dishes, can you believe how much we love pancakes? 🙂 I ordered for Simple & Fit Blueberry Harvest Grain ‘n Nut Combo.

Serving time took 15-20 minutes. The pancakes were bigger than what I’m expecting. I think this pancake was made of grain pancake and not the usual flour and such (insert ingredients here). i just added Peanut becon syrup and I enjoyed every piece of it. The banana slices were perfect fit for the blueberry grain pancake. But, the scrambled eggs were quite bland in my opinion. Maybe they forgot to add the salt!? Nyay!

The customer service were great! The server always have a smiling face and very attentive with our requests!

All day in bed for dinner!

My tummy was not in good shape last Thursday night but hunger strikes so I needed to eat before taking my medicines. I’m choosing between this and the other foodspots inside CGS (California Garden Square); but since I’m for the lighter meals, I decided to eat here at the All Day Breakfast In Bed.

I ordered for Eggs Benedict and a cup of hot Jasmine tea. I thought having a cup of hot tea was a good idea though, cause I’m not sure if i’m bloated or what. Weird tummy, well at least, it’s better than having soda or juice.

The place were full so the order was served around 20 minutes. But my tea has been served 10 minutes earlier. I even asked for raw sugar, too bad they only have white and muscovado sugar.

When my order came in, I thought the presentation was poorly done and thought it will taste bland. I took my first bite on the bread, it was okay. The egg was all over the plate, but it tastes good. On the other hand, the bacons were too tough but there were parts that it’s okay. It’s crispy, yay!

The place looks cool and manly ala Cuppacakes place! Haha. There were only 2 servers that night, but they’re very attentive and customer friendly.

Winning our hearts back at Kanto Freestyle!

I can still remember how disappointed I am when we last came in here at Kanto Freestyle Breakfast. It was around 20:30 and the place was fully packed. We got our tables about after 5 minutes of waiting and we got our orders. The server took our order and then at least, she notified us that the orders would be served in 2 hours. WHATTT!? Seriously, 2 hours!? No way, so we left that night and we put this one at our hatelist of foodspot around.

But it changes last Saturday night.. After the rendezvous with my co-loolooers, me and my friends went to the We Legendary shop located at Ronac Art Center, to bought some shoes. After an hour of waiting and fitting the shoes (many buyers went that night since their 3-day sale will end by Sunday), we thought of eating somewhere before going home. We all agreed to have some light meals for tonight, and an idea of going to Kanto Freestyle just popped out when we thought of places along Mandaluyong City.

We came in around 22:00, and there were only few customers dining in. I suddenly realize, it’s been almost 6 months since we last came here. And now we’re back! I ordered for Pancakes with bacon & eggs, since I already tried the other Pancake dishes here.

Surprisingly, the orders were served after about 10 minutes. Wow that was an improvement! And their crew were more friendly this time, which is always a good thing for customers!

The food itself was good. The pancakes were fluffy and made perfect, the bacon and eggs were also done very well and superfine! That’s a good impression of this place! Very nice! They have really won our hearts back at this place!

Hopping in at iHop

Got to try this last weekend, it wasn’t actually a plan, but still we made it. It’s almost midnight and yes, we haven’t had our dinner yet. All restos at the Podium that very moment were already closed since it’s already 22h!

So we tried our luck by surfing thru BGC where to eat and of course, with the help of looloo, we found out 3 possible restos we could dine in to (Nolita, Comfort Food and iHop). Fortunately, we bumped right into the corner street where this iHop is, so we just parked the car and went in.

I got myself the Specialty fiesta chicken wraps with fruits on the side and Nutella crepe. Serving time took 15-20 minutes. So, not that bad at all!

The food? Just awesome! Just eating one of the two chicken wraps made me really full. I decided to just bring the other one for pasalubong. LOL. The crepe is heavenly good, the strawberries were sweet.

Overall, it’s a 5-star rating! The food is really good and is really affordable.
